twenty breaths

Because having your breath is so very important to life and it’s cycle, to birth and it’s welcoming, and to mama’s so they can function, I thought I’d share with you where recently I’ve taken the time to stop and take Twenty Breaths.

In Twenty Breaths you can shift your mindset-completely.

In Twenty Breaths you can stop your heart from beating in your throat.

In Twenty Breaths you can turn your clammy hands warm.

In Twenty Breaths, you can lull yourself to sleep.

Breathing in, long and slow, until full, then letting go in a sweet and soft exhale.  At the end of that exhale, hold for just a few seconds until that need for breathing in comes again.  Continue for Twenty Breaths.

In the shower

On a bench

Behind the wheel

During church

Laying in bed

Listening to music

Under a tree

Floating on water

In downward dog

In lotus pose

In pigeon pose

In the rocker

Holding your mug of warm tea

While walking

On the floor with your hand (asleep) through the crib side

In a fort

On a swing

In the tub

Next to a garden

During a lecture

Deep in the pages of a book

Now, you stop to take Twenty Breaths and share with me where you found them.
