Parasites. Creepy crawlies, tentacles, crustaceans, worms, lice, Lyme, bugs, bacteria…they’ve got a reputation for being opportunistic and long-lasting.
We have found a way to to analyze your body for what is causing you stress with Nutrition Response Testing. Based upon those findings we create a designed clinical nutrition program to handle it. Immune challenges are a common finding, and the topic above is one that causes readers to reach out to us.
My family and I began testing for parasites after bringing home a rescue dog, though dealing with our youngest (now 4 1/2) took the biggest toll as neither he or I slept for 3 3/4 years through the night. You can read his story here. As a graduate of Advanced Nutrition Response Testing we can handle the most complex cases that come through our doors. With parasites, though, I needed to tap into more.
Since then I have taken training from the “Parasite Guys”, i.e, Dr Todd Watts and Dr. Jay Davidson, founders of Cellcore Biosciences. They are diving in where no one else will go, and that is right into your stool. As many as 60% of the population has parasites. They suggest direct damage by parasites includes:
- Blockage of internal organs such as intestines, bile ducts, lymphatic systems and blood flow through liver
- Large fluid filled cysts in liver, lungs, brain, or body cavities
- Neurological symptoms such as seizures and vision issues
Symptoms one may experience from a parasite infection can vary but may include:
- abdominal pain, diarrhea, or constipation
- food allergies
- migraines, headaches
- anxiety, depression
- heart palpitations
- leaky gut
Something that hits close to home for me is that CDC researchers are now linking cancer cells from parasites to human tumors. What they have discovered is that cancer cells originating from a common tapeworm may take root in those with weak immune systems, causing cancer-like tumors.
This woman’s grapefruit sized liver cancer tumor was actually a parasite. Research and news related stories like these were shared during our training with countless nods of approval from those of us in the trenches with clients on a daily basis navigating the complex world of these critters.
Though complex, Cellcore has created a fantastic way for folks at home to get started if they suspect parasites as a core cause of their ails. It’s called the Full Moon Challenge.
Full Moon Challenge
Why is the lunar cycle correlated with parasite activity?
“With a drop in melatonin downregulating the immune system and a spike in serotonin enabling parasite mobility during a full moon, it’s the perfect time to provide your body with extra support to maximize detox results and evict unwanted guests!” During the full moon melatonin levels drop, and when these levels go down, the parasite activity goes up. Parasites are known for their overnight activity, and this gets highly elevated during the full moon. These critters eat the neurotransmitters in our guts, creating a whole slew of emotional symptoms that are just as difficult to navigate as the physical.
An article in April of 2019 by Dr Watts and Dr Davidson entitled How to Conquer the Unspoken Emotional Symptoms of a Parasite Cleanse speaks to the hamster wheel many clients describe being on as these bugs gain traction in our bodies. Serotonin, which is our feel good neurotransmitter, also has the same effect on parasites. When the levels of serotonin are low, these bugs become paralyzed.
Now that we know why we need to send these bugs an eviction notice, we have to look at how. The four supplements used in the Full Moon Challenge protocol are: Para 1, Para 2, Para 3, and Biotoxin Binder.
(actual image of what one of our clients sees on a regular basis)
Let’s look at each one individually.
Para 1-This is the Cellcore supplement most commonly known to give you results you can “see”. There is nothing more gratifying than that. Once in your digestive tract this product turns into a gelatinous slime which, on its way out, grabs biofilms, toxins, heavy metals, and more.
Para 2-An immune and digestive supporting blend of herbs (triphala, neem, clove, vidanga, and holarrhena) merge with Bioactive Carbons to handle the toughest of pathogens. This one is commonly used when sluggish bowels or constipation is an issue.
Para 3-I call this product Stealth Mode, as it catches pathogens that may have been missed by other products. Unlike Para 1 & Para 2, this one is a liquid, which will provide rapid systemic absorption. Some take this orally while others use in a sinus rinse, neti-pot, or nasal spray.
Biotoxin Binder-To bind: cohere or cause to cohere in a single mass. The example in the definition of ‘bind’ is “mix the flour with the coconut and enough egg white to bind them”. This product offers excellent support against toxins such as ammonia, candida, fungi, mold, and sulfur by binding the toxins to be eliminated from the body.
The Full Moon Challenge has three options, a 3, 5, or 7 day commitment to moving the bugs up and out. If you’re an in-office client we can dose you with Nutrition Response Testing for your exact Full Moon Challenge dose. I’ll place you in the appropriate beginner, intermediate, or advanced option based upon your dosing. We would also see if any additional drainage is needed to support your elimination pathways. If you’re not an in-office client and you’d like support with these questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We have virtual programming if that’s of interest to you.
The doses begin small with 2 caps twice per day of Para 1 and Para 2, and one cap three times per day of Biotoxin Binder. The only big thing to remember is to keep the Para’s and Biotoxin Binder seperated by at least an hour for maximum effectiveness.
If you’re already on any of these products, you’d resume your regular program dosing once the Full Moon Challenge is complete.

Not sure what to do next?
Our in-office support option of Nutrition Response Testing we are able to hone in on exactly what your body is dealing with and create for you a designed clinical nutrition program that identifies and supports your needs.
Working with you virtually with questionnaires, consults, and surveys is also an option to help guide us in steering your program in the right direction to get the results you are looking for.
If you’re not sure where to start, I would recommend a Next Step Session. This is a complimentary phone consult where we can get to know each other a bit and together create the next step for taking on your own health.
