So, Why A Juice Feast?

An effective juice cleanse (or what I like to call, a Juice Feast) will help detox the body. Every day, people are exposed to hundreds of chemicals, from the air we breathe, the moisturizers we put on our bodies, the sodas and alcohol we drink, and the chemically processed or preservative ridden food that poisons our bodies over time.

The body holds on to many of these toxins in the lymph, digestive and fatty areas. These chemicals build up over time and cause our bodies to slow down and experience weight gain, headaches, fatigue and memory fog.

A cleanse helps the liver to rid the toxins and other harmful substances from the body. Drinking only juices for a short period offers the body a rest from metabolizing food and frees it to focus on purging the toxins from our system. This will result in ultimate weight loss.

Juicing extracts vital nutrients from vegetables and fruits, such as antioxidants, micronutrients, vitamins and minerals. In extracting the nutrients, it also removes the insoluble fiber from the produce, making it much easier for the nutrients to be absorbed in to the body quickly, often resulting in energy as a by-product.

The whole point of detoxing the body is to move away from chemicals, so try your best to purchase organic produce whenever possible. Most conventional produce has been sprayed with loads of pesticides.  Juicing for weight loss is a fabulous way to nourish your body from the inside out.

DETOX JUICE​

2 Carrots
1 Apple
3 Celery Ribs
Handful of Parsley
Handful of Cilantro
½ Beet with Tops
1” Piece Ginger

Instructions:

Push all the ingredients through a juicer. Alternate between harder foods, like the parsley, the apple, the cilantro, a carrot, to help move everything through smoothly.
