This year I made holiday shopping so easy on myself. With little to no hand-mades (insert guilty mama here) for the youngin’s, I sat in my pajamas eating a bowl of apple crisp and had a little date with a few favorites (namely Amazon, Nova Natural and LL Bean).
Last year at this time I did something pretty fun called the Spirit of Giving. I wanted to reach out again for the 2nd year to give back to all of you, this community whom I get to support in a number of ways. Maybe you’re:
- the couple with the 60+ hour labor I supported
- the mama we needed to find donor breast milk for
- the one who calls out of sheer exhaustion and guilt that your baby has been crying for three days
- the couple who jumps right into Bradley class at 12 weeks because they want to learn all they can about self-care throughout pregnancy
- the mama whose low back is so, so tired from carrying twins that she needs a little craniosacral therapy support
- the family who just found out their 1 year old is gluten intolerant

Whoever you are, I acknowledge what you give to your family, and I acknowledge you for trusting me to bring you the inspiration, information and support you are looking for.
This is the time of year I get to pause and be grateful for what I have, which is really what you all have given me. You give me more hands-on- in- the-moment-raw-experience than I could ever ask for. You give me courage and strength and belief in what we as mama’s are able to create, sustain and embrace.
Now it’s my turn to give back. The Spirit of Giving was such a hit last year that I can’t wait to share it with all of you again this year.
The Spirit of Giving allows you to give a little more and spend a little less. It’s all about YOU.
Instead of giving stuff this year, give an experience or opportunity that will have your loved ones being grateful for you.
