How to Save Money While Eating Whole Foods

For years now I have been finding ways to save money on groceries.  I have it that the food we eat may as well be our medicine.  I mean, if we are going to pay to care for our health, we might as well do it on the side of being proactive instead of on the reactive side.

As I was meeting with a client today for Nutrition Response Testing, I really got that it’s taken me 9 years ( our oldest is 9) to really hone in on the resources, money and time saving ways to provide our family with really good food at a really good price (like around $450/month for 4 people on whole foods).  I remember once around 6 years ago an acquaintance saying that there is no way a family can budget for whole foods and right away I felt a kick in the gut, because, for our family, there was no other way to do it but budget, and I think that’s the reality for most families.

I’ve been working on a product that I’m sooo excited to unveil to you ( March 1st is the date, and my friends, I share this with you to hold my little bum accountable to it!).  BUT, I would love to get some feedback from those of you who want to know how I pull it off every month.  There was a month a couple of years ago that I did it in $325-no kidding.  It wasn’t easy, but it gave me peace of mind that I could do it again if I needed to.

Because we all love to try new things, and because I really care about what you might think about this topic, AND, because I have a really great giveaway , we are going to hold a little contest over here.

Whole Life Nutrition has graced me with TWO copies of their brand new cookbook to give away: Nourishing Meals, Healthy Gluten-Free Recipes for the Whole Family.

To be in the running for one of the two copies of this amazing cookbook and a free review of my upcoming product, here are the agreements:

::scoot on over and “like” the My Healthy Beginning Facebook page

::leave a comment on the My Healthy Beginning Facebook page after “liking” it to let me know you were there

::leave a comment below this post telling me what concerns you have in regards to the health of your children ( I have it that it’s all related to food!)

This contest will be open for 48 hours, closing on Tuesday morning (Feb. 12th), 8am CST, and the winners will be chosen from a random number generator ( those things are so fun!).  Have fun!

Congratulations, the winners of the Nourishing Meals, Healthy Gluten-Free Recipes for the Whole Family cookbook and a special preview of my new product are:
