How to Use an Air Fryer

Eating in a healthful way doesn’t always mean long hours in the kitchen. Guest Camille Sowle shares with us tips for how to cook up a number of crowd favorites in short order.

We purchased an updated toaster oven with air fryer last year from Costco, so ours looks nothing like what Camille is showing us. She has something similar to the picture above. However, we have been able to use ours in a similar way minus the two trays as we have only one.

What Do We Cook in the Air Fryer?

At our house, we use it primarily for making either French fries or sweet potato fries, and chicken tenders. It’s fast, easy, nutritious, AND, I can use it while cooking and preparing other food in the kitchen.

My Recipe for Chicken Tenders in the Air Fryer

You can purchase chicken tenders pre-sliced in the meat case, or purchase chicken breasts and slice them. One thing I do to save some money is to purchase boneless/skinless thighs. I just slice these, shake them up in a bag of gluten-free cracker crumbs, spray the air fryer tray with avocado oil spray, and cook them for 15 minutes at 400 degrees. These chicken tenders are juicy and so delicious!
