We are adding some fun to the week-end around here. I love a good story. Here’s what Julie had to say when I asked her why she was so passionate about juicing:
“In 2000, my mom, Faye, was diagnosed with Colon Cancer. The doctor’s predicted she had 6 mos. to live. Miraculously, through juicing organic fruits and veggies and with the help of western medicinal treatment and surgery, she lived 6 years longer than expected. I truly believe that if she didn’t seek out every avenue in the all natural world, she never would have lived past the inevitable 6 mos.
One of the first things my mom did when she heard the news of her cancer was purchase a juicer. Beginner Green Juice
- 3-4 leaves of Kale
- ½ Lemon
- 2 Green Apples
- 1 Small Bunch Parsley
- 1 1 inch Piece of Ginger Root
- 1 Cucumber
- 2 Celery Ribs
- Put all the ingredients through a juicer. Alternate between harder foods, like kale, the cucumber, the parsley, the lemon, to help move everything through smoothly.
