4 Ways To Use A Binder (And How To Learn More!)

At My Healthy Beginning, we’ve spent years helping people uncover the multiple root causes of their health challenges. Time and again, one theme surfaces: the body’s toxic load. Whether it’s heavy metals, pesticides, environmental chemicals, or an imbalanced gut, toxins are quietly disrupting the systems your body depends on most.

TOXINS ARE WHY YOU DON’T FEEL LIKE YOURSELF.

If you’re new to the world of balancing out your terrain from the toxin load you carry, welcome! In this day and age you’re inundated with toxin exposure.

It can be hard to understand if you’re looking around for the skull and crossbones symbol (and don’t see it) to guide you. I remember being a child of the 80’s and along with the Dare anti-drug program, the skull and crossbones sign for poisons was a big deal. The only problem with the poisons, is that they were “only” under the kitchen sink

Not today. Today, there are multiple ways (7 that immediately come to mind) our toxin bucket turns to overflowing. We breathe them, ingest them, drink them, absorb them, watch them, hear them, and we feel them. Think about this and the daily encounters that may result in feeling tired, foggy, unmotivated, rash, itchy, hoarse, too thin, overweight, puffy, slow, sleep-deprived, and anxious, to name a few.

Why Choose a binder?

According to a National Research Council report published by the National Academies Press, of the 60,000–70,000 chemicals currently in commercial use, no toxicity information whatsoever exists for roughly 80% of them. That means most of what we’re exposed to daily has never been fully evaluated for its impact on our nervous system. The negative effects of neurotoxicity compound over time, meaning, the more neurotoxin exposure you accumulate, the more it disrupts the chemical balance in the brain. This will alter how your neurons communicate and will result in anxiety, depression, PTSD, and cognitive decline.

If we’re talking about gut dysbiosis, a 2025 review published in ScienceDirect found that modern lifestyle factors including processed diets, chronic stress, sleep disruption, overuse of medications, and environmental toxins have profoundly damaged the human gut microbiome. The mechanisms include immune dysregulation, hormonal imbalances, and a steep decline in microbial diversity. Here at My Healthy Beginnng we know a disrupted gut doesn’t just cause bloating or digestive discomfort. It can drive anxiety, fatigue, skin conditions, autoimmune flares, and more — all things we see daily in our practice.

What matters most is if you’re a parent, you’re seeing the impact of developmental neurotoxicants linked to rising rates of ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and other cognitive impairments in your children.

I always handle toxins with a binder, specifically fulvics and humics. These acids are among the world’s most powerful detoxifiers because they are loaded with electrons and protons for energy production which makes them the greatest balancing nutrient available to our cells. I’m pulling the next line right from my teaching slides so you can see just how important they are:

“Fulvic acids exhibit antioxidant, immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, adaptogenic, antidyslipidemic, cholinergic, and parasympathomimetic effects; it influences the oxidative state of cells and improves gastrointestinal function.”

My friend and mentor Dr Todd Watts, co-founder of Cellcore Biosciences, formulated these binders specifically for our use. This is why, when you’re feeling under the weather and you rask what I think you should take, my answer is almost always “a binder”.

Here are 4 Easy Ways To use a binder:

#1 Binder Bath
You will open a binder capsule in your bath water to help soothe skin rashes and to detox absorbed chemicals and metals.

#2 Poultice/Paste
Opening a binder capsule and adding just enough distilled water to create poultice or a paste is helpful for use on rashes, bug bites, areas of swelling or inflammation. Used in this way the binder will ask as a sort of drawing salve.

#3 Open Capsule
For this you will open a capsule and mix into a glass of water directly. If you don’t like the taste (sort of reminds me of tin) , then stir in an electrolyte, juice, hot chocolate, etc to increase the rate of absorption and effectiveness.

Another way to use this would be to stir or sprinkle it into pudding, yogurt, or applesauce.

#4 Nasal rinse
When you feel congested or your nose is running like crazy, you may add a bit of binder to your nasal rinse or navage. This may sting a bit as it’s mopping up toxins hanging out in your sinuses and nasal cavity, but is oh so satisfying to see the junk come out.

What To Do Next

Take action. This is exactly why we use muscle testing at My Healthy Beginning — to help your body tell us where its toxic load is sitting and what it needs to clear it. You might find support with our At Home Health Care Manual, IonCleanse Foot Bath, and group program, the Cellcore Comprehensive Protocol, which are designed to support your body’s natural detox pathways, reduce your toxic burden, and help your gut and nervous system begin to heal.

You don’t have to feel stuck in symptoms. Understanding the root cause is your step to a healthy beginning.
