Kitchen Clean-Out Pack:  6 Steps to a Healthy Pregnancy

It’s hard to keep our kitchen stocked with foods that really matter, isn’t it?  Just because I have training in nutrition doesn’t always make it easier.  It is still an effort every week to make certain my family has a strong Real Food foundation, keeping us healthy, our energy high and smiles abundant.

I grew up on the same foods everyone else did…we were a meat and potatoes family, and kool-aid was all the rage.  Dark leafy greens weren’t on the menu, nor would we have known what to do with them!  It is tough to  know what theories to believe and what food sense to follow when there are so many opinions, I even have to stop myself sometimes to remember what I’m feeding my family and why.

So I get it, I get that at times we have to:

  • go out of our way to purchase healthy food
  • spend more money to get the food that really matters.

I will tell you, though, That Isn’t Always the Case.  We can buy food at any grocery store…it’s the quality we pay for, so knowing what you’re buying and from who or where matters.

A little about me:  It wasn’t until my mom got sick when I was in high school that I began to change my eating habits.  If she hadn’t gone through that tough time (and we all have them), who knows if food would have come to matter to me at any point?  I was only sixteen, but developed an ulcer within six months of her cancer diagnosis from the stress.  Quickly I developed habits like avoiding the foods that inflamed or irritated my stomach, stopped drinking soda, stopped eating red meat, and passed up greasy foods like pizza; it made all the difference.

Because of my physical pain, I opted to step away from my high school gymnastics team to exercise on my own.  I’m so grateful for the mind-body connection I now have and know almost instantly when something isn’t right.  Clearly this was meant to be my path as we have a three year old that chooses hummus and crackers over chips and a seven year old who requests sushi rice and seaweed for lunch…  Seriously!

My education is that of a winding river. After starting and walking away from my degree in biology (pre-med) in my early twenties, I completed a communications/business degree with a four year old and four month old in tow in 2008.  For the decade in between, I became:

  • Certified as a Birth Doula
  • A Nationally Certified Massage Therapist
  • Completed all levels of Craniosacral Therapy with Dr. Carol Phillips and two with the Upledger Foundation
  • Facilitated a networking group for working mothers
  • Began coaching moms, and…
  • Became a Certified First Line Therapy Lifestyle Educator, which finally allowed me to talk nutrition.

If we’re being honest here, I was advocating for nutrient dense eating with my clients long before I legally could…was I supposed to sit around and not share what I knew?

-The Audio Version of the E-Book (with secrets slipped in here and there!)

2.  Replace them with foods that will save you money, slim your waistline and give you energy

3.  Now be one step ahead of your friends with this helpful and invaluable information

4.  Find of healthy substitutions for some of your favorite foods

5.  Save money on your grocery bill

6.  Learn the way to shop a grocery store (Yes, there is a way!)

The E-Book:

The Kitchen Clean-Out E-Book allows you to read and participate in the exercises at your own pace.  Though I do recommend setting aside a couple of hours in one sitting to do this, it is possible to break it up into smaller time snippets based upon what you have available.

Once you have cleaned out your pantry and refrigerator you may feel a little empty (or, conversely, a lot lighter) after finding most items we keep aren’t so helpful in keeping our metabolism kicked up, our blood sugar balanced and our waistlines slimmed down.

The Video:

The video on How to Shop for Healthier Foods is enlightening as I go over the only 4 sections of a grocery store I recommend you shopping in and why:  Meat, Deli, Bulk, and Produce.

The Audio:

For those of you who learn by listening, I have an audio link to the Kitchen Clean Out E-Book, which allows you total control as you can push “pause” in between steps, taking as much time as you need before moving on to the next exercise.

This e-book is wonderful!  What an easy read-yet extremely informational! After reading it a couple of times, I'm motivated to changing up a few things in my kitchen!!  And the ideas for how to store food are perfect.  Cause unless you store it correctly and buy in bulk...buying organic can be spendy.  But Nichi gives practical ideas on how to eat right, save money and make the most out of your shopping trips!  Love the tip on freezing deli meats~ because they go bad so quickly in the fridge!  And also love the idea on eating with the season.  I really connected with the "how does your kitchen make you feel" question.  Personally if my kitchen is a mess, i don't want to be in it, much less cook a healthy meal when i have to first clean all the pots and pans from yesterday’s meal!  If i walk into a clutter free/clean kitchen with a bowl of fresh fruit smiling at me...that’s much better and I am motivated to create healthful meals!

Great e-book, wonderful and complete info and a great resource to have on hand!

Thanks for creating this!

How does this save you money?

Here’s the thing.  People hire me to physically come out to their homes and do a Kitchen Clean-Out with them.  I can do this with you, too, though depending on where you are, you will have to pay for my time and airfare…*special bonus points if you live anywhere with a warm & sunny beach*, okay, kidding.

Reality: The cost for that if you’re within 30 miles of the Twin Cities, is $175.  There are no additional bonuses, just me and two hours of my time tearing apart , I mean, hanging out in, your kitchen.

The real bonus here is the price of the Kitchen Clean-Out Pack = $47.97, meaning everyone can afford to purchase this format, immediately implement the exercises and instantly transform your relationship with food.  It is literally over a $100 savings!

Can you really put a price on growing a healthy baby, maintaining a family full of energy and peace of mind about the contents of your kitchen?  I don’t think so.  For only $47.97 you can have all of this and the satisfaction to know you are already making the right decisions in being a great mama to the wee one growing in your womb.

Limited Time Offer

Yes, there is one.  The one time investment of $47.97 is only good for 30 days. Along with this limited time offer come two free special bonuses (see below!)  At the end of 30 days the price of the Kitchen Clean-Out Pack will go up to $97.97, so save $50 and buy it now!

Enjoy Your Free Goodies!

Bonus #1:

1 week Gluten Free meal plan

Bonus #2:

Grocery list.  I know, seems redundant, right? Wrong.  Most of us:

  • Don’t shop with a list
  • Waste time wandering through the grocery store
  • Fill our carts with meaningless calorie and fat filled foods, and…
  • Don’t think twice about it.

This does NOT slim down your waist, beef up (no pun intended) your health or save you time.  Having a list that you can use to circle only the items you need for the following weeks’ worth of meals before even leaving your house does save you time and money, and you then get to throw in that workout or walk around the park you’ve been meaning to get to.

My unconditional guarantee.

Yes, my website does state All Sales Final, and I do mean that.  However, I am so positively, absolutely over-the-top certain that you will be happy thrilled with your purchase that I will guarantee it.

If it seems that your life is still ho-hum and your relationship with food does not improve after you complete the exercises in the Kitchen Clean-Out Pack, I will refund 100% of your $47.97 investment.  Seriously.

Order Now and save $50!

If you are serious about the health of your growing baby and if you are serious about taking these 6 steps to a healthy pregnancy, the time is now.

You won’t regret putting yourself first.  You will be so glad you did, and when you send that smart little cookie of a baby off to kindergarten someday, you’ll be so proud of yourself.  Like I mentioned earlier, I started walking the path of nutrition transformation at the age of 16, which of course was gradual and limited as opposed to an adult purchasing their own groceries is capable of.  By my mid-twenties I had my network of practitioners and “wise women” as I call them, all lined up so I knew who to go to with what question.  I knew I needed to take the best possible care of myself so I could birth beautiful and healthy babies.

Fast forward to 2003 and the un-medicated home birth of our first daughter at 41 weeks 5 days, 7 hours of intense labor and 10 minutes of pushing.  No tearing (thanks to a great intake of oils and proper perineal support) and an 8 pound 8 ounce baby.  Again in 2007 we had another un-medicated home water birth with our second daughter at 41 weeks 3 days with 11 hours of super easy labor, followed by a bit of shoulder dystocia, a nuchal arm (all with no tearing again), an hour of pushing and the birth of a 9 pound 4 ounce baby.  As a couple we couldn’t have done it had nutrition not been a core part of my pregnancy and preconception stage.

Now that our children are 7 and 3, nutrition is still the largest support we give them in regards to their health and it’s one we take seriously.  No medical bills or ongoing doctor’s visits and only one round of antibiotics for a bladder infection in their combined 10 plus years.

So it’s worth it, take care of yourself and your baby in your pregnancy.  You both deserve it.

Remember, there is a 100% unconditional guarantee.
